The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Manager Finance Systems to join us in our Finance, Enablement & Governance branch.

In your new role, you will provide oversight and analytical expertise with specific focus on PPM/PS and associated processes and provide analytical advice to continually improve the efficiency, integrity and robustness of applications and data, and to meet the needs for cluster wide management of the finances and project portfolio.

You will also evaluate financial systems and requirements of the Operating Agencies to identify areas of synergy or efficiencies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Delivery of assigned work and determining day to day priorities and actions to be undertaken, including establishing operational priorities in consultation with the manager.
  • Enhance the system capability across the cluster by scoping and presenting information to support business improvement initiatives as they relate to the PPM/PS modules
  • Provide advice to inform the developmental and continual improvement of PPM/PS systems and processes, including providing inputs to the reporting, business planning and project governance to ensure consistent effective management
  • Manage the relationship with Group IT to deliver systems improvements, including consolidation of project and reporting systems into the core portfolio management systems that TfNSW has selected to support ongoing.

About You

You are a tertiary qualified or have demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience with extensive experience working with Finance Systems, in a complex organisation.

You will have demonstrated experience working with the PPM/PS modules of SAP and related applications, and a strong grasp of developing and maintaining financial models coupled with demonstrated analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and influencing skills.

Your strong verbal and written communication, documentation, and interpersonal and influencing skills are the key capabilities for this role.
