Develop and execute a comprehensive trade and market engagement strategy that delivers increased awareness and interest from

key business events decision makers and influencers to consider the NT as a competitive, distinctive and meaningful destination

to stage Business Events.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Develop a targeted and engaging trade and market engagement strategy that generates business events opportunities for the

NT business events sector to convert.

2. Lead and drive the business development and client services teams to effectively deliver trade, in-market and in destination

activities to raise awareness, increase interest and encourage consideration of the NT for business events.

3. Develop and maintain partnerships and influential connections in the business events marketplace that present opportunities

aligning with the current strategic direction of NT Business Events.

4. Oversee development of bids and proposals, tradeshow representation and host planners on familiarisation programs to

influence and progress business events opportunities.

5. Collaborate with the Projects and Industry Events Executive to provide marketplace insights and feedback to inform

familiarisation program content.

6. Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to ensure brand alignment at all trade and in-market activities.

7. Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and regularly share and present marketplace trends and insights

with industry to meet the dynamic needs and expectations of business events planners and delegates.

8. Ensure accurate and timely entry of data into NTBE’s CRM system, prepare reports and ministerial correspondence.
