Reporting to the Executive Manager, Business Controls, Risk In Change, you will be responsible for implementing and facilitating risk in change across businesses in the Consumer and Business Banking Division, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the team embed risk management frameworks, policies and controls and contribute to the management of delivered risks across projects in Consumer, including appropriate transition to BAU ownership and management.

You will assist the implementation of risk controls and frameworks for the division, as well as working with the wider team to deliver improvements across projects and business initiatives . This role is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders on all matters that are responsible for implementation of solutions to risk and control problems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work within a team of risk professionals to translate Group risk-in-change policies and standards into Consumer’s operating procedures, ensuring alignment to the Group’s risk frameworks, strategy, and appetite. Support risk-in-change assessments to ensure Transformation projects are evaluated with Obligations, Risks and Controls Assessment (ORCA).
  • Facilitate the risk in change to ensure all risk and compliance documentation in line with requirements and ensure they are approved by First Line Risk and Compliance, Control Owners and Process Owners.
  • Provide risk in change advice to support the business with delivery risk solutions, regulatory requests and remediation. Subsequently, escalate risks, control weaknesses or compliance issues as required, helping to navigate to an effective outcome within the risk appetite.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to identify and enable more efficient and effective risk practices in the business and act as the first point of contact for Consumer in relation to risk in change frameworks and policies.
