Maintenance Officer

Description:

The Maintenance Officer maintains a comfortable and safe living environment for the residents, staff and visitors to Southern Cross Care.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
 

• responsible for the day-to-day and preventive maintenance of our residential facility, plant and equipment.
• liaising with suppliers and contractors, induct staff, advise our OH&S Committee and contribute to (or even initiate) special projects.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
 

• Highly versatile with excellent maintenance experience and capabilities
• Good communication skills and ability to relate to older persons
• Exceptionally meticulous and organised
• Strong work ethic, takes pride in swift-yet-thorough service
• Ability to thrive on autonomy as well as being open, friendly and definitely part of the team
• Applicants with previous experience in an Aged Care setting will be highly regarded.
