Maintenance Electrician

Our Maintenance team is vital to the day-to-day success of Tip Top and we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join our Ermington Bakery team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other site Electricians, Fitters and Production teams to achieve high levels of plant optimisation and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed.

As an integral member of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvement of equipment to ensure optimal plant performance, managing planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns effectively while maintaining best practice and safety standards.

The successful applicant will operate on a rotating roster, which provides a generous work life balance!

Purpose of the Role:
 

  • Working safely and ensuring the safety of those around you.
  • The delivery of reliable, efficient and safe routine preventative maintenance activities.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with plant and machinery that may be mechanical or electrical in nature.
  • Responding to breakdowns through prioritising and carrying out repairs in a safe manner.
  • Working with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisors to conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow up on identified actions.
  • Maintaining all registers, logs and systems to track repairs, notifications and work activities.
  • Liaise with Production Supervisors and machine operators about performance of equipment.
  • Develop & maintain a close and collaborative working relationships across the Maintenance, Production, Planning and Engineering teams.

     

About You:
 

  • A trade qualified electrical background with proven experience preferably in an FMCG or similar industry.
  • A safety mindset with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Demonstrated experience as an industrial Electrician, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Experience with Robotics, Rockwell suite and PLC fault finding.
  • Experience with pneumatic systems.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS (MEX preferred).
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and identify problems at root cause.
  • The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
