Description:
As a Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Studies, you will contribute to teaching and supervision at undergraduate, Honours, and postgraduate level, and undertake research appropriate to their discipline. You will also carry out professional, industry and community engagement activities. As a Lecturer you will conduct administration, leadership and service activities within the discipline, School, Faculty and University.
The role of Lecturer reports to the Head of School and has no reports.
Our teaching, research and industry engagement is supported by the recently built Esme Timbery Creative Practice Lab. Named for Esme Timbery—a celebrated Bidjigal artist and Elder from the La Perouse Aboriginal community, the traditional owners of the land on which the UNSW Kensington campus is built—it consists of two state-of-the-art theatres. It is staffed with a production team and designer to support our practice-based subjects such as ARTS2122 Performance Production, ARTS3123 Solo Performance Making, and ARTS3124 Collaborative Performance Making. It also supports our combined theoretical/practice courses such as ARTS1120.
