As excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer, STEM Education and Assessment to join the team within the Department of Education.

As the Lecturer, STEM Education and Assessment, you will be a suitably qualified, experienced, and innovative academic who will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within the Education Department. The successful applicant will be an individual who is familiar with using a broad range of teaching methods, can contribute to strategic planning and lead the design of curriculum.

This role is also important in the department’s commitment to social justice and their desire to make a positive difference for students and the wider community. The successful applicant will also be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills as they work with a range of groups from students to professional partners.

We anticipate the successful incumbent will be able to join Swinburne by late January 2023.
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
 

  • Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching including a record of leading unit and course co-ordinatio
  • Demonstrated high-level competence in leading innovative assessment feedback development in on-campus, flexible, blended, and online modes of delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in the improvement of education-specific academic support, including the development of diagnostic tools and resources for the Literacy and Numeracy Test of Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE).
  • Strong understanding of the trends and issues in assessments and professional practice
  • A Bachelor degree relevant to ITE or broader field of Education
  • A Doctoral qualification relevant to Education
