About the team

The UWA Medical School is the largest and longest established medical school in Western Australia. It delivers a 4-year post-graduate MD course to local, national and international students. The School also has substantial and successful research programs across most disciplines in the medical sector.

The Medical Education Unit is an educational support unit on all matters related to curriculum development including (learning, teaching, assessment and evaluation) within the Medical School.

About the opportunity

As a Lecturer you will contribute to the development and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment for MD Students. Working closely with the MD Assessment Lead and Program Director, you will be responsible for supporting implementation of multiple digital platforms, including the curriculum mapping database, assessment item banks and the MD Progress database.

You will also contribute to assessment quality including assessment psychometric analysis, assessment report writing and standard setting procedures, and assist with additional medical education projects as required.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

• A higher degree by research in the sciences
• Broad knowledge of current practice in medical education correlating with the MD program educational philosophy and pedagogy.
• Broad knowledge of assessment quality measures in medical education
• Experience with Microsoft 365 program suite, including the Power BI dashboard.
• Experience with assessment analysis procedures and programming, including thos required for Rasch analysis and standard setting.
• Ability to collaborate with staff and students at all levels and positively contribute to team, school and wider University activities
