The Lecturer, as a member of the School of Clinical Medicine (SoCM), Rural Clinical Campus Albury, will be committed to teaching excellence, and high-quality rural research with a strong focus and alignment to Research Frameworks, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate imperatives within the Rural Clinical Campuses and Albury Wodonga Health.

As a member of the AWH Research Office, the Lecturer will support local research projects, with a focus on the professional development and training of AWH staff involved in research.

The role of Lecturer reports to the Director of Medical Education and has no direct reports. The position of Lecturer is jointly funded by the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) and employed under the UNSW Academic Enterprise Agreement 2018.

Who You Are

To be successful you must have:

• A Fellow of a Specialist Medical College and/or PhD in a related discipline, or equivalent degree
• Evidence and maintenance of professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and professional accreditation requirements
• A demonstrated track record of research excellence, including peer review publications and attracting research grants from various sources, in research areas related to rural health and workforce utilising a variety of research methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in specific clinical teaching discipline and a strong commitment to rurally focussed teaching and research to improve patient outcomes
• Demonstrated experience of research translation skills and knowledge brokering including knowledge management, evidence translation, linkage and exchange and capacity building
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a record of solid achievement contributing to administration in academic and professional environments
