We're going through a period of massive growth and we're not slowing down. To help us grow we are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Professional Services team.

The Lead Engineer will fill a critical role in our engineering team. The role is responsible for driving key technical decisions, mentoring and coaching our engineers, and working with key stakeholders to define priorities as we build customer value. We are looking for an excellent software engineer that can bring their wealth of knowledge to deliver on our customer goals while enhancing our process capability in our team.

You'll Be Experienced In

• 8+ years experience in Backend Development - JAVA
• Advanced Programming skills (design/implementation) for one of NodeJS, Java, Python, Bash, GoLang)
• Basic Application of AWS core technologies including IaC, CI/CD, serverless development preferably supported by relevant AWS certificates
• Basic AWS EcoSystem knowledge (demonstrated working examples deploying API Microservices within the AWS Ecosystem, eg API Gateway)
• Modern software development techniques; test driven development, micro-services and continuous delivery
• An agile practitioner with the ability to work with modern collaboration tools (confluence, JIRA) and support new ways of working, thinking an behaving
• An understanding of enterprise cloud best practices; cloud adoption, well architected frameworks or other best practices
• A leader/team player, that can actively contribute to a positive, goal-orientated team culture who can both lead and follow; work with diversely different people and achieve quality outcome.
• Be a self-starter, that is comfortable working with ambiguity, can work autonomously and confident in sharing ideas, challenging norms in a respectful and professional manner – because you are motivated by doing the best job possible.
• Be customer centric & focused on creating meaningful value to ensure a positive experience and outcome for every customer (internal & external) willing to do what is needed to get the job done;
• You will have excellent communication skills; will be an active listener who is able to read people and to adjust your behaviour and message accordingly.
