Lead Software Engineer

You will join the experienced delivery team working on the upgrade to the navigation systems for the Hobart Class Destroyers (DDGs) as part of the Above Water Weapons Program

• Role is located at the Raytheon Technologies Offices at Macquarie Park
• You will spend time onboard whilst alongside discussing Engineering Software requirements
• You will be required to be part of the installation and test delivering the Engineering change

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in software design, development, integration, and testing
• Experience working within Scrum
• Experience with Linux development platforms
• Experience with UML and modelling tools
• Experience with design patterns
• Experience with C++, Java
• Experience with Ada desirable
• Experience with code coverage analytical tools
• Experience with version control tools (Git, Subversion, BitBucket)
• Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable
• Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable
