The opportunity

It’s an exciting time to join the AUSPAC Technology division here at QBE Insurance. We’re undergoing an IT modernisation journey to fundamentally change the way in which we support one of Australia’s leading insurers. To support this ambition, we are seeking a highly experienced Lead System Architect with experience in Pega to support several exciting transformation initiatives and greenfield Pega projects across the business.

Working with the latest technologies, you will:

• Provide technical leadership in design, development and deployment of QBE’s Pega platforms
• Develop reusable components, document the designs and perform code reviews
• Manage the delivery of all build artefacts effectively to ensure quality outputs
• Work with stakeholders across the business to transform requirements into a fit-for-purpose design
• Lead a team of technical staff

Your story so far

To drive your success in this role, your story includes:

• Extensive development experience with Pega and ideally the associated certification (Pega/PRPC)
• Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end implementations
• An ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions that meet business needs
• Expertise in integrations as well as Web Services Architecture
• Strong leadership skills, with an ability to motivate a team for success
