Lead Software Engineer

We are partnering exclusively with Hello Sunday Morning to help them find a Lead Software Engineer to work as part of a product engineering team to build products that empower their membership to live healthier and rewarding lives.

Hello Sunday Morning is an Australian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping people who want to change their relationship with alcohol. One of their core core products, Daybreak, is a personalised mobile app that helps its users reclaim control and develop healthier habits, and provides direct access to peer and clinical support.

This role would report in to the Head of Technology, and would mean working very closely with the Digital Health team whose primary focus, clinical outcomes from digital enablement. Technology plays a huge part in ensuring people can receive critical support when they need it the most.

As a lead you will:

• Enforce standards; culture and attitudes included. If the team has a misalignment, you will spend time alongside the Engineers to guide them towards productivity.
• Create alignment with the overall project goals and how the execution is carried out. You will be able to bring up conflicts in a productive manner.
• Commit to the product vision once set.
• Prioritise well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills.
• Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a consumer focus. We build tools and systems to complement our available product to empower our clinical staff in their interactions with members.
• You will be able to obtain feedback and create new approaches to improve daily workflows for all coworkers.

In terms of technical skills they need:

• Demonstrated experience designing systems, software architecture and programming
