Lead Asset Performance Management Consultant

Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is currently recruiting a Lead Asset Performance Management (APM) Consultant to join the Operational Management Solutions (OMS) team. This role can be based in either Brisbane or Perth and is offered as a full-time permanent staff position reporting to the Manager Asset Performance Management.


In this role your objective is to provide technical and functional consulting and training services in the field of Asset Performance Management (APM) and related APM software tools and systems and be a source of specialist knowledge and industry experience in your field.

 

Our ideal candidate will provide technical and project management input, assurance and guidance and the development and delivery of asset management, asset performance management and reliability engineering solutions addressing client needs within the APAC region, our global clients and the wider Wood business. Your consultancy scopes will include APM system implementation and upgrades, gap analysis, content build, change management, adoption, training and client support. Additionally, you will support internal Wood competency development and the assurance management plan for APM within the business.


Other accountabilities of the role:

  • Work as designated Project Manager / Project Director on APM projects as required
  • Provide input to senior management on APM related business strategies and support the development of key client relationships, opportunities and pursuits, particularly in the APAC region
  • Contribute to development of marketing and business development opportunities, contribute to APAC and global market analyses to identify APM opportunities and contribute to marketing and BD support material, follow up with proposals and undertake client meetings
  • Identify and convert potential project and service opportunities to widen the portfolio of long-term business relationships
  • Assist in the training and development of Wood clients and staff to develop their APM skills and maintain industry-leading knowledge
  • Undertake direction and supervision of staff members in the development, implementation, and delivery of APM services and products to client's requirements where required
  • Set priorities and coordinate the daily activities of the team where appropriate
  • Responsibility for specific client portfolios and building an ongoing collaborative relationship with technology partners

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree from a recognised university or college in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 15 years engineering and consulting experience in asset intensive industries
  • Proven track record of APM technical delivery and client management
  • Exposure to operations and maintenance activities and practices on operating assets in Mining, Energy, and other related sectors
  • Well-developed computer skills and knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and typical reliability engineering and asset management software (e.g. RAM tools, Reliability Analysis, FMECA / CMMS buildtools, GED APM, or equivalent systems)
  • Strong knowledge of the regional and global APM market and relevant industries such as Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, Infrastructure
  • Demonstrable experience in the definition of APM related technical specifications, Processes and Procedures and the associated quality assurance processes
  • Ability to influence and inspire confidence around technical solutions and demonstrate innovative solutions and thought processes
  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing role, with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Experienced in working within complex, matrixed multi-location teams
