Fugro is looking for Laboratory Technician/Engineer

The Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking Laboratory Technician/Engineer to join our established Australian Operations and reap the rewards of an inclusive and engaging team. Based in Fugro’s Osborne Park lab you will working with small team and reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager. Your initial duties and responsibilities will include

  • Prepare material for and carry out laboratory testing
  • Enter data into the laboratory information system or processing database
  • Analysis of testing data and troubleshooting as required
  • Assist in compiling of factual certificates ad reports
  • Perform laboratory equipment maintenance
  • Participate in development of new processes and procedures as assigned
  • Compliance with QHSSE policies, standards and procedures.
     

Other Opportunities May Include

  • Option to participate in offshore geotechnical site investigations
     

Your Success In Securing This Role Will Require

We’re looking for someone who can deliver positive planning and cost outcomes, utilising best practices and collaborative methods. Ideally you will bring;

  • Demonstrated experience or willingness to learn new skills
  • Sound understanding of laboratory testing standards preferably geotechnical or material testing related
  • Strong communication skills, ability to interface with project stakeholders
  • Diploma/Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques/engineering related degree or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
