The Kids cancer centre is seeking an experienced Clinical Trials manager to lead a team responsible for the development and management of multi centre, collaborative and investigator-initiated oncology trials. Under the general direction of the Head of the Oncology Clinical Trials Unit, the clinical trials manager is responsible for all work undertaken by the team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and must be able to liaise effectively with a large multidisciplinary team including molecular oncologists, bioinformaticians and site staff. Planning and analytical skills, together with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst managing various project demands, will be highly regarded.
KCC (Kids Cancer Centre) Clinical Trials Unit is a specialised centre for early phase studies for children, adolescents and young adults with cancer.
The KCC is seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Manager to lead a team responsible for the development and management of multi-centre, collaborative and investigator-initiated oncology clinical trials across ANZ.
Under the general direction of the Head of the Oncology Clinical Trials Unit, the clinical trials manager is responsible for all work undertaken by the team.
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and must be able to liaise effectively with a large multidisciplinary team including molecular oncologists, bioinformaticians and site staff. Planning and analytical skills, together with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst managing various project demands, will be highly regarded.
Detailed knowledge, experience and understanding of clinical trials and clinical research. Including knowledge of local and international regulatory requirements for clinical trials and clinical research.
Successful track record in managing or coordinating multicentre, national and international clinical research in collaboration with other health disciplines. Includes experience in budget development, site start up and all aspects of trial management.
Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and delegation skills and leadership attributes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and report individual and group performance to produce highly functioning teams.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret research data and direct research relevant to health outcomes.
Demonstrated problem solving and strategic planning skills with the ability to design and implement appropriate departmental processes and systems to improve and maintain quality.
