Reporting to the Head of Sales – AU/NZ, your role as a Sales Manager will see you deliver high quality consistent and ultimately winning proposals for major wind farm projects in support of sales generation across the Australia and New Zealand Markets.

The Sales Manager will follow designated projects through the Indicative Offer, Binding Tender and Contracts Negotiation phases with the ultimate aim being to support the team to secure Contract Signatures and enforceable contracts.

Role

Your role will be busy and varied, working with Australian and international peers and you will be accountable for the following

Relationship Management: You will actively develop and maintain customer relationships in conjunction with the Head of Sales and Senior Sales Manager. You will be involved in presenting SGRE business via meetings and formal presentations to ensure that our proposition is developed for optimum impact following bid submission.

In addition, you will support the preparation and follow up of quotations and business opportunities along with planning, hosting and may as travel restrictions permit join customers on domestic/overseas trips as required.

Bid Preparation and Management: Participation in bid strategy and coordination of all inputs to meet client submission deadlines from various internal departments. Supporting the team to drive the bid preparation process, management of communication with internal disciplines, and management of the preparation, collation and lodgement of all submissions and negotiation of commercial contractual agreements.

Market Analysis, Forecasting and Strategy: Gathering and analysis of market intelligence to determine market strategy, pricing and facilitate forecasting.

You will interface regularly with SGRE’s engineering, project delivery, commercial and legal teams, our customers and global SGRE peers.

What You Will Ideally Bring

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • An undergraduate Degree in Business, Commerce or Engineering and/or;
  • Previous experience in a similar role with another Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or project development within the energy sector working with bids, tender and contract negotiations;
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills coupled with demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information;
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and,
  • A current unrestricted Australian Driver’s License.

You will be highly organised and flourish in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. Your ability to manage complex business relationships in a professional, tactful and motivating manner will be an area of strength.
