Key Account Manager

 

Description:

This role will focus on customer and business development to ensure segment sales,profitability, and customer service levels meet agreed targets. You will have full autonomy of your territory to promote the features and benefits of the timber range whilst being accountable for the planning and execution of the sales strategy.

Fundamentally your role as a Key Account Manager is to manage existing accounts, identify and develop business from new and existing customers. You will be liaising between the internal sales team, customers and key stakeholders. Critical to the success of the role will be the development of strong commercial relationships

What we require

  • It is essential that you have knowledge of building and/or construction materials
  • Previous experience and proven track record in an external sales role, selling to timber merchants, wholesalers and hardware stores is desirable
  • Current, valid drivers licence
  • Exceptional communication and professional presentation skills
  • Skilled negotiation abilities and ability to manage customer expectations
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Motivated by team targets
  • Consistency in achieving KPI’s and sales targets
  • Ability to plan, forecast and grow sales using innovative ideas
