Junior Web Developer

We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to be part of the team in maintaining, monitoring and enhancing our web applications. Building new features and integrations, also supporting many business-as-usual activities.

You should be eager to learn and enjoy being challenged. We are looking for someone who can take a problem and do their own research and come back with potential solutions. You will be supported with a team of very experienced developers to assist in achieving your goals.

The role is based at our head office in North Ryde, NSW and reporting to the Elgas IT Applications Manager.

Responsibilities in this role include:

• Manage and maintain cloud deployment web services (AWS)
• Work collaboratively with vendors, stakeholders, and team members to design and develop secure efficient web/API solutions.
• Integrate 3rd party vendor solution back into internal ERP.
• Assist the business in monitoring and troubleshooting web services and solutions

To be successful you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT or equivalent experience
• Experience with the PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter, Slim preferable but not required.
• Exposure to WordPress and Magento CMS also preferable.
• Experience with RESTful API
• Strong problem-solving skill, able to delve into code and identify bugs/issues.
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Strong Analytical Skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to resolve and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
