Description:
An opportunity is available for an Infrastructure Engineer to work for a Financial Services company in Sydney. The role will be working in a small team designing, implementing and managing the Microsoft & Windows infrastructure environment, automation, continuous improvement and technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft & Windows infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Manage and troubleshoot servers, including installation, configuration, patch management, and performance optimization.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Utilise SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) to manage software deployments, updates, and endpoint management.
- Manage virtualization infrastructure using VMware, ensuring efficient resource allocation and optimal performance.
- Provide application support and troubleshooting for internal users, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams to define and implement IT infrastructure and security best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years as a Level 3 Infrastructure Engineer, preferably within the Financial Services industry.
- Strong expertise in Windows administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience working with Azure cloud services, including VMs, virtual networks, and storage.
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 services, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Hands-on experience with SCCM for software deployments and endpoint management.
- Solid knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, Azure certifications, or VMware certifications are a plus.
