Junior Copywriter

 

Description:

Working under the leadership of the Communications team, you will bring your creativity, innovation, and technical abilities to writing original and creative editorial content for our internal publication, “This Week”. This new role works closely with the Editor, marketing specialists, our internal photographer and other business stakeholders to deliver content that meets business requirements and drives great staff experiences.

You will be a passionate storyteller that can effectively marry the university values with compelling copy that aligns to our brand principles. You will deliver engaging and hard-working content from concept through to delivery, introducing and connecting our staff digitally.

Your work will contribute to the high level of quality across our channels by being accurate, error-free and in line with brand guidelines.

You will be responsible to:

  • Interview staff or students on campus, write and fact check content
  • Develop and structure new content aimed at maximising the visibility of both traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Provide expert advice to other Group Marketing teams and key clients on how to structure and prepare content.
  • Consult with key clients to understand and evaluate their content needs.
  • Design and develop creative content tailored for each audience group and communication channels to maximise engagement consistent with the Macquarie identity.
  • Sub edit copy to ensure the content of communication complies with the University brand style guidelines.
