- Seasoned Oracle DBA with more than 10 years of experience and excellent troubleshooting skills
- The person may be working either in BAU or projects and will require Database design and build experience and Oracle consulting skills.
- Good communication skills and customer interaction skills
- Previous experience in managing a team of 5-10 DBAs working remotely and 24 x 7 from offshore
- Strong operational experience in a 24 x 7 production support engagement in an onshore-offshore based model.
- A keen eye for process improvements and optimising the way self and team perform day-to-day operations and software engineering lifecycle phases.
- Be proactive, challenge the status quo and provide consulting to projects who have engaged Database team for design, build, test and implement services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- This is a DBA position with Technical Lead responsibility. However, the person should be flexible to work as part of a team, lead a small team or independently depending on the type of project.
- Responsible for interfacing with client on all technical and functional aspects related to Oracle Database administration services.
- Must be able to provide quick, out of the box solutions to the problems faced.
- Must be able to work with offshore and resolve their queries, by reaching out to client, if required
- Must be able to handle priority P1/P2 Incidents and guide offshore on all such occurrences.
- Must be able to develop and extract information through Service Now dashboards, Xtraction Reports as and when needed. Also provide necessary data for management reporting.
- Take bottom line responsibility of deliverables and review all critical deliverables coming from offshore.
