It Vendor Manager

Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Vendor Manager to join our Digital Operations team. This team drives the long-term vision and strategic direction for Lion’s technology, whilst leading the support of digital services, applications, infrastructure and devices across the business. This role reports into our Head of IT Vendor, Governance & PMO.

You will play an important role in managing the relationships with key Lion partners. This role will work closely with IT strategy and architecture team members across Digital Operations, the wider Growth Team, as well as major vendors, providing an extraordinary development opportunity for the successful candidate.

A Day In The Life

• Determine a sourcing strategy aligned with business strategy and objectives
• Provide guidance, participate in and at times lead vendor selection, contract negotiation and vendor management
• Collaborate with legal, procurement and finance teams to ensure well-drafted agreements
• Conduct vendor audits and engage with vendors to ensure compliance to existing contracts
• Review existing contracts to identify cost saving opportunities.

• Several years' experience working in a dedicated IT vendor management role
• Strong contract negotiation, vendor relationship management and commercial acumen for driving business performance.
• Strong understanding of organisational processes and functional capabilities
• Great communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to work autonomously.
