Description:
We are redefining the way the main cargo gateway of South Australia works in our GatewaySA project. As part of that the Project Manager – IT is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering the IT project components for the GatewaySA project within scope, timeline, and budget. The IT Project Manager will manage, direct and control the delivery of the IT & Automation packages. This role is based in Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and lead the automation and technical integration by coordinating creation of and owning implementation and integration plans for all technical interfaces;
- Drive and lead the development and deployment of the project IT infrastructure, processes, applications and security & access control systems - including procurement, delivery, commissioning and integration;
- Propose, own and win buy-in from key stakeholders for the final IT, automation and technical integration plan;
- Take terminal overall design (including operational, civil, equipment and installations, and IT design) as input and connect details within the overarching project framework design;
- Structure, prioritise, maintain and own all TOS development, covering the existing Terminal Operating System's upgrades to ensure functionality and the new development; and
- Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimise potential negative impacts on the project.
About You
Your skills and experience will include;
- Previous experience transitioning an operating system whilst maintaining uninterrupted (BAU) operations; (preferably in a container terminal environment but not essential);
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders;
- Strong track record of project management, certification is a plus;
- Ability to assess business issues, identify risks and to interpret them into technology solutions/requirements;
- Previous experience successfully delivering complex IT initiatives; and
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
