This is a critical and highly sought after Agency within the APS, they have a core focus on gathering intelligence and managing matter of National Security.
Your new role
This is a critical position where you will lead a strong team and perform tasks inclusive of, but not limited to the following;
- Support the Director Integrity in collaborative operations with integrity oversight and law enforcement partners, both strategically and operationally.
- Guide investigators to comply with Australian Government standards, conducting thorough and professional investigations in accordance with relevant policies and legislation.
- Lead and mentor junior team members and direct reports within the Integrity team.
- Conduct complex administrative and criminal investigations.
- Offer specialist advice to the Director Integrity on integrity risk matters.
- Enhance integrity processes, methods, and internal governance, playing a crucial role in fostering a strong integrity culture within the Agency.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the position you must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (NV1, NV2 or TSPV)
You must also be able to demonstrate the following;
- Proven leader with a talent for identifying and motivating others.
- Experienced in conducting and leading complex administrative and/or criminal investigations, with qualifications in Commonwealth investigations.
- Utilises an analytical, evidence-based, and risk-based approach to investigations, adapting to complex and challenging environments..
- Strong written communication skills, experienced in drafting policies, procedures, reports, investigative documents, operational risk assessments, and briefings.
- Skilled in managing complex risks and collaborating with external partners on joint operations.
