International Student Compliance Officer

Description:

The International Student Compliance Officer provides a broad range of support tasks in relation to the monitoring of international student compliance with Australian government regulations for the provision of educational services to international students in Australia including the ESOS Act 2000, National Code of Practice for Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2018, Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) student visa regulations, Simplified Student Visa Framework (SSVF) and Tuition Protection Scheme (TPS).

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to, the creation and cancellation of Confirmation of Enrolments (CoE) as well as student course variation reporting in the Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS).

To be successful you will need:

• Knowledge of the ESOS Act and affiliated National Code of Practice and a working knowledge of the Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS) and student visa program as it pertains to students in higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve issues, problem solve and apply analytical skills to interpret reports, policies, procedures, legislation and external advice.
• Demonstrated high level administrative and organisational skills including a capacity to meet competing and demanding deadlines in a medium to high volume environment.
• Demonstrated experience and adept in Microsoft Office Suite of products, University systems and in using databases, with a demonstrated ability to enter and maintain accurate data.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, to be self-motivated, and to be flexible in responding to changing work priorities.
