Description:
Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating, conducting and promoting greyhound racing in Victoria, a sport that annually generates around $400 million in economic activity and over $3 billion in wagering and directly involves over 15,000 people. Our vision is “Victorian Greyhound Racing is a vibrant, entertaining and thriving sport with animal welfare at its heart.”
The Intelligence team uses risk-based and intelligence-led methodologies to ensure resources are allocated to areas that present the greatest risk to the Greyhound Racing industry.
The primary purpose of the role is to gather and analyse quantitative and qualitative data from a range of internal and external sources to identify potential risks and breaches of the rules of racing, the Code of Practice for the Keeping of Racing Greyhounds and any relevant legislation. Identified potential risks and breaches are referred to GRV's Investigations team and/or Stewards Panel, or relevant external agencies.
