About the Role

The Insurance team has an excellent opportunity for a 3rd to 6th year Defendant Insurance lawyer (Lawyer, Associate or Senior Associate) to join the group and manage defendant claims which will include:

• Professional indemnity
• Directors' and Officers' liability
• Trustees' and Office Bearers' liability
• Medical malpractice
• Financial lines
• Employment practices liability, amongst others.

Skills & Experience

• You will have at least 3 years PAE in managing defendant insurance claims
• Your experience should be from Australia only.
• You will have worked with one of Australia's highly regarded insurance law teams
• Preferable exposure to claims involving medical malpractice, professional indemnity, registered officers, workplace relations, building and construction is highly desirable.
• Would also consider general liability lawyers and those who have a Workers Compensation background but willing to retrain and upskill.
• Energy & enthusiasm to work as part of a highly collaborative and collegiate national team
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, confidence and sharp business acumen.
