Our Energy & Utilities business is seeking an experienced or aspiring Instrumentation Technician to work within our Technical Services business in Newcastle, NSW supporting our clients’ sites located in the Lower and Upper Hunter Regions.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a range of electrical and instrument equipment including pressure, flow, temperature, density, valves, weighing, analytical instrumentation and electrical equipment in a range of industrial environments including Hazardous Areas.

About You
 

  • An experienced or aspiring Instrumentation Technician with a Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation, or willing to undertake.
  • Hold a NSW Electrical Licence, White Card and a valid Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to work away from home from time to time as required.
  • A strong commitment to safe working practices with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Computer literate specifically instrument and PLC programming software, Word, and Excel.
  • It would be advantageous but not essential if you hold an EEHA Certificate and had knowledge and experience in radiation, programming, and communication systems.
