The position will commence in Term One, 2024 and the allocated time is negotiable depending on the number of student enrolments. The program at St Eugene is administered by school staff who support all teachers and ensure continued growth, while allowing individual teachers the freedom to facilitate lessons based on their area of expertise.

Tuition fees are collected by the school and the successful applicant will be guided by the conditions outlined in a formal agreement and position description.

Performances, meetings, reporting, extra-curricular activities, and involvement with school ensembles is required. Knowledge of, and a willingness to prepare students for external music examinations is also required (AMEB and / or Trinity) is an advantage.

All students are taught as individuals or in small groups and lessons are half an hour duration. The successful applicant will require a current QLD Working with Children Blue Card (or have current QLD teacher registration) and will be required to comply with various Brisbane Catholic Education policies (including Student Protection and Code of Conduct). The latter requires the completion of online training modules prior to commencing the position.
