The role is for an internal, phone-based Business Development Manager, based in Sydney to support the growth and success of Finstro within direct and third party channels. The role will consist of 2 core functions; the first to onboard and build relationships with allocated referral partners, the second is to be responsible for originating, pre-qualifying and closing new business opportunities with end users that are sourced either through allocated channel partners or direct marketing.

 

Whilst formally reporting to the Inside Sales Manager on a day-to-day basis, the BDM will also have dotted line oversight from a 3rd Party Distribution regional manager with regards to referral partners they may also manage.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

 

  • Onboard new to Finstro referral partners through education and sales. Provide a great UX for new partners through the process
  • Build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with new and existing referral partners, as assigned
  • Respond to and fulfil customer leads generated through channel partners or direct marketing
  • Actively source leads from new/existing partners and customers
  • Engage in online and social platforms within relevant channels promoting Finstro whilst adhering to brand and marketing guidelines
  • Represent Finstro at external facing events both in person and online as required
  • Ensure CRM and origination platforms are kept up to date and accurate
  • Answering inbound enquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
  • The BDM is responsible for achieving sales, profitability, and portfolio growth objectives. Working as part of a locally based team but capable of succeeding in an autonomous environment, the BDM represents the entire range of company products and services.
  • An effective internal BDM must be an excellent communicator and have superior people skills. They must be comfortable presenting products or services over the phone or via other online mediums as well as dealing with complaints and doubts.
