Infrastructure Security Architect

The Infrastructure Security Architect is responsible for designing and managing security mechanisms that protect Unisys critical infrastructure. This role will conduct security reviews for proposed applications, and for infrastructure changes in the environment. They will conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and work with incident response teams when needed. Communication and collaboration with other business units is important to drive security standards and ensure seamless execution of evolving policies. Candidates for this role should have a strong background in infrastructure and application security.
 

  • Security Application Reviews: Conduct in-depth reviews of internal application requests to ensure they align with Unisys security standards and protocols. Be able to identify potential security risks within codebases and package dependencies.
  • Networking and Firewall Change Reviews: Collaborate with network teams to evaluate and approve firewall and network change requests, ensuring security compliance and optimal performance.
  • Policy and Procedure Enhancement: Develop, refine, and communicate infrastructure security policies and procedures to various business units and project stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify, track, and manage infrastructure-related risks. Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies, measuring their effectiveness and impact on business operations.
  • Collaboration: Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices across business units. Provide guidance and support on infrastructure security matters, ensuring alignment with overall security strategy.
  • Incident Response: Act as an escalation point for infrastructure-related security incidents, working closely with the Security Operations and Incident Response teams to address and remediate issues.
  • Security Tooling: Assist with the management and configuration of internal security tooling and controls to protect Unisys critical infrastructure.
  • Audits and Assessments: Conduct routine internal audits of Unisys environments, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for security risk assessments, incident response, and remediation efforts.
  • Serves as an escalation point for technical issues around security tooling and the Unisys SOC team.
     

You will be successful in this role if you have:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar, or the equivalent hands-on experience combined with training and certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, operations, and security controls. Experience with cloud infrastructure is a plus.
  • Familiarity with application security issues, network security, and firewall configurations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements related to corporate IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint protection.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Security+, Network+, AWS Security Specialty, Microsoft Azure Security Operations Analyst Associate, or Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate, are a plus.
