NSW Department of Planning and Environment is looking for Infrastructure Planning Officer.
About You
- Collaborate with government stakeholders to assist in the preparation of strategic and/or detailed infrastructure plans and associated funding arrangements to support growth.
- Negotiate, prepare and administer State planning agreements for the provision of State public infrastructure.
- Undertake analysis of infrastructure matters as well as legislative review projects and recommendation of policy to meet infrastructure planning and implementation requirements.
- Review proposals initiated by landholders wishing to accelerate the release of land and working with authorities to ensure that the required infrastructure is available where such proposals are implemented.
Essential Requirements
- Knowledge of statutory requirements, risk management, and infrastructure planning
- Some knowledge of the workings of Government including the role of State infrastructure agencies
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications i.e. engineering, economics, urban planning, land surveying, project management, construction management and/or equivalent relevant industry experience.
