ING, Australia’s most recommended bank is seeking an Analyst or Associate for our highly active Infrastructure Finance business based in Sydney. As our Analyst/Associate – Infrastructure Finance – Wholesale Banking you’ll work as part of a team to support the origination, execution and management of transactions across social, transport and regulated infrastructure sectors; spanning Australia and the broader Asia Pacific region.

ING operates a global Infrastructure Finance platform with teams located in Brussels, London, Madrid, Sydney and New York, with clients including the full spectrum of developers, corporates and investors.

You’ll report into the Head of Infrastructure Finance and given the size of the team you’ll quickly be given the opportunity to grow and develop by taking ownership of parts of different transactions in our existing and extensive pipeline.

What you will be doing:

• Analysing prospective clients, projects and acquisitions
• Writing annual reviews and credit papers
• Performing financial modelling and analysis of complex financial models
• Providing external and internal process support across all phases of a new transaction
• Conducting credit risk assessments and reviews
• Analysing due diligence information and reviewing documentation
• Researching and preparing market materials including client presentations
• Conducting ongoing portfolio management and administration

What we are looking for:

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree (additional professional qualification viewed favourably)
• 1-3 years’ experience in a related role
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Credit risk analysis and financial modelling experience will be seen as highly advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent report writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise according to deadlines;
• A great attention to detail placing a high value on quality and accuracy;
• A collaborative and team oriented mindset
