About The Role
Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career in industrial relations? Look no further than Thiess. Thiess seeks an Industrial Relations Specialist to join our team in our newly renovated South Bank, Brisbane offices.
As the Industrial Relations Specialist, you will be a crucial member of our Human Resources team and report directly to the Industrial Relations Manager in Australia.
The role will provide guidance and assistance to all Thiess sites and build employee relations capability. The successful applicant will be crucial in enabling management effectiveness through the execution of proactive employee and industrial relations initiatives.
The role requires in-depth knowledge of relevant industrial relations legislation and the ability to interpret industrial instruments. The successful candidate will aim to succeed in providing advice concerning a broad range of industrial and employee relations matters and will strategically assist and implement group-wide employee relations initiatives.
About You
You have experience undertaking investigations, bargaining and compliance processes, and tertiary qualifications law. The successful applicant will have demonstrated skill in applying a well-developed employee and industrial relations knowledge within a fast-paced environment.
You have been responsible for monitoring compliance with legislation, implementing group-wide employee and industrial relations strategy, responding to union organising activity, and participating in enterprise bargaining activities.
Furthermore, you have an innate confidence to undertake or manage investigations into workplace grievances or concerns.
You can seamlessly build capability through in-house training for managers and other employees. You thrive on advising on day-to-day employee and industrial relations matters and liaise with and assist in managing the relationship with external legal providers.
