Description:
As an ICT Systems Engineer at CBCity, you will design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems, including servers, network infrastructure, storage solutions and the cloud. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security and performance of all IT systems and infrastructure.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Monitor, analyse and manage Council’s network infrastructure and services.
- Ensure system availability to defined SLA’s for end-users, along with providing root cause analysis, resolution and support.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular system audits and provide recommendations for improving system performance and security.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate new technologies and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
- Manage and maintain software applications, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning properly.
- Act as a Level 3 escalation point to provide support on systems and networks.
- Design and Architectural undertakings to improve existing products and enable the development and release of new offerings.

You will have:
- Current Class C drivers licence.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT systems, including LAN, WAN, VPN, Exchange and firewalls.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft ecosystem and its associated technologies, i.e. MS Active Directory, MS Network services and M365.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell.
- Knowledge and experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience in configuring and administrating Citrix environment.
- Experience in customer-facing ICT operations, including service desk, and executing effective plans to enhance the overall customer experience.
