Ict Engagement Officer

 

Description:

The Information Technology Services (ITS) function is located within the Learning Services team and provides ICT delivery and engagement within schools and BCEO. As ICT Engagement Officer you will support end users and engage with stakeholders to provide support in the use of IT systems and delivery of training to end users to effectively support change and develop proficiency.

  • Monitor service desk calls and proactively support users through system changes or enhancements, and share acquired knowledge and skills to effectively use IT systems
  • Advising and supporting technology adoption, digital literacy, learning experience design and content development for our school and office end users
  • Work with stakeholders to engage with end users to ensure commitment to quality and service
  • Supporting engagement through corporate intranets and manage internal intranet page including writing content and providing guidance
  • Optimise user groups to inform continuous improvement opportunities, best practice change management approaches and techniques for support and ongoing learning and knowledge uplift
  • Design and oversee change management strategies related to IT systems and plans for delivery of information services or product enhancements
  • Co-ordinate actions relating to impacts of proposed changes and devise, implementation plans, communications, procedures, and professional learning to support users through change
  • Delivering end user testing experience and support for IT systems to schools and BECO staff
  • Improving digital capability of BCE staff through delivering systems support and training


To be successful in this role you will:

  • Possess tertiary qualifications in either education, business administration, information technology or in another relevant field, or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in corporate intranet pages. Knowledge of Sharepoint highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in information technology/system lifecycle management and/or the education domain or a similar role requiring a similar skill set.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting end users through transformation of process, practice, change managemnet and technology.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize potential solutions.
  • Ability to implement business process and procedure assessment, optimisation, and improvement within the technology domain.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication skills with the ability to build working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team and effectively build internal relationships.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to acquire skills around emerging technology as applicable to the role.
  • Current/valid Queensland Driver’s Licence as travel to schools may be required to deliver training and support end users.
