As the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer, you would be the “trusted advisor” within the technology division and wider business on any IAM related issues and contribute positively to the Cyber Security team mission. Key to the success of this role will be owning internal requests for Identity and Access Management (IAM) assistance and issue management.

 

The Role

The IAM Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of all layers of IAM applications including Authorisation/ Authentication and Account Creation/ Management /Provisioning to targeted applications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Proactively support and maintain our corporate Identity and Access management solutions (OKTA)
  • Maintain and oversee operational delivery of the IAM strategy and roadmap, including design, transition, operations, continuous improvement, and control lifecycle requirements.
  • Oversee and drive all request for change around our identity platform
  • Support and enhance both standard and privileged access control models and ensure these are understood by stakeholders
  • Maintain solid industry knowledge of our tooling and review release notes for our platforms to ensure that we are maximizing take up of any IAM process improvements to support capability uplift or user experience.
  • Develop secure and modern methods of authentication (passwordless, biometrics etc) while ensuring high levels of users experience are always met.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is produced to communicate the technical environment.

 

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant IAM role, working in a medium to large and complex environment.
  • Expert experience with OKTA, Azure AD, Active Directory, Office365, PAM and SAML
  • Hands on experience specialising in aspects of identity and access management, identity lifecycle management, implementation and support of identity and access management technology
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing security infrastructure including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and Privileged Access Management
  • An understanding of security technologies commonly used to detect, contain or prevent security incidents such as IDS/IPS, Endpoint Security, Firewalls, Content Inspection and SIEM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in writing reports on assessments conducted.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the development, deployment and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards
