This Brisbane-based agricultural organisation requires a hands-on Human Resources Business Partner to drive people & culture outcomes across the business nationally. This is a varied role encompassing both hands-on and some strategic HR project elements and offers a nice mix of being in the corporate head office whilst still getting out to visit site operations. You will report into and work directly alongside the Chief People Officer on all things P&C, offering you a highly rare and unique chance to gain innate coaching and guidance from an industry expert. You will be an integral part of this business as they embark upon a new era in HR, and you will be involved in all operational HR solutions with leaders across a wide range of issues.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Be the regular face of HR across operations; you will build genuine and trusted relationships with operational stakeholders and leaders in the field to then coach, guide, and provide bespoke advice in people and culture matters;
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer and broader business management across initiatives such as culture and engagement, learning and development, talent management and recruitment, performance management, and employment relations;
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance;
  • Support leaders across all functions in the organisation’s engagement efforts, including analysing survey results, determining key focus areas and developing action plans;
     

Skills and Experience
 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, employment relations or related business discipline;
  • Demonstrated experience as a Human Resources Generalist in the way of Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Business Partner role within an environment with geographically dispersed operational staff – agriculture industry experience will come highly regarded;
  • Strong communicator and approachable character who can work independently and collaboratively in teams to ensure messaging is communicated across the business in a clear manner;
  • Ability to think on feet and easily identify areas for improvement and effect quick change and engagement at all levels within a medium sized enterprise;
  • Ability to travel on an ad-hoc basis interstate and within rural environments.
