IDOM Automotive Group is looking for Human Resources Advisor

Role

The Human Resources Advisor will provide business focused and operational People and Safety advice and services to our automotive dealership network, consisting of approximately 300 employees and growing! You will be responsible and accountable for day to day People and Safety functions at a site level while closely collaborating with the leadership team to grow and improve the business. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide professional operational HR advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, recruitment strategies, and managing change processes.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management provoking positive changes in the management of people and performance improvement.
  • Contribute to the Recruitment process, including job advertisements, conducting reference checks, pre-employment checks, making offers and finalising employment.
  • Contribute to workplace health and safety strategies, systems, initiatives, and procedures across the organisation.
  • Handle injury management process, workers’ compensation claims, including overseeing successful return to work.
  • Maintain relevant human resources information systems.
  • Prepare and provide analysis on regular and ad hoc reports as required

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Australian Employment and Safety Law frameworks and best practice application of relevant legislation
  • Able to develop highly effective working relationships by building credibility, respect, and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Skilled and credible in advising others on empowering people management.
  • Ability to take ownership, accountability & smooth control of a busy workload.
  • Highly organised multi-tasker with strong prioritisation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, attention to detail with accuracy.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, writing, spelling and grammar
  • Strong Understanding of Automotive Dealership Operation will be Highly Regarded
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and Previous HR Experience is Essential
