Duties & Responsibilities

This position has been created due to high levels of current activity and solid growth prospects in our Asia Pacific business.

Reporting to the Perth-based Regional HR Manager- Asia Pacific, you will play a lead role in providing broad-ranging HR support across our Australian business.

As part of a global HR group which includes key Centres of Expertise in various HR sub-disciplines, you will support the Australian business in areas including (but not limited to) Employee & Industrial Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition.

Supported by our existing HR Advisor, you will act as a business partner to our managers and a key point of contact for our employees.

You will be expected to operate with a substantial degree of autonomy in providing day-to-day HR/ER support to the business; and to work with others across the regional and global HR group on various projects.

Qualifications

It goes without saying that your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, that you can solve complex problems with minimal supervision, and that you can demonstrate the maturity and credibility required to act as a trusted business partner to senior managers.

You must hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.

You must also have substantial post-graduate HR and ER/IR experience. This includes being well-versed in Australian employment law and related areas (privacy, compliance, HSE, etc).

Experience working with a service company in the resources or engineering sectors will certainly be highly regarded, but is not essential.
