Golder has a new opportunity for an Human Health Risk Assessor with contaminated land management consulting experience, based in Melbourne on a full-time basis. You will join our National team servicing a broad range of clients and project types and provide support to senior practitioners in a range of complex risk assessments and project delivery.
We are looking for someone who is driven, motivated to find solutions to site, contaminant and environmentally specific circumstances, while cognisant of stakeholder priorities and limitations.
Key Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Conduct human health risk assessments with senior support and direction for environmental exposures including soil vapour, indoor air, soil and groundwater matrices;
- Process environmental data, conducting statistical analyses and interpreting field and laboratory results;
- Provide support to Senior practitioners in a range of complex risk assessments and project delivery, as well as undertaking scientific research in human health risk assessment and toxicology;
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and technical reports;
- Manage tasks including planning, scheduling, resourcing, reporting and cost/scope tracking to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Environmental Science or similar related discipline as well as 5 or more years relevant experience;
- Sound knowledge of contaminated land management and risk assessment principles and drive to actively expand technical knowledge;
- Preparedness to explore site, project or contaminant specific solutions through research, analytical and problem solving skills;
- Proven ability to effectively manage project tasks and delegates where appropriate;
- Excellence in communication and collaboration skills that allow complex information to be presented to a variety of audiences in verbal or written format.
