Description:
We will be seeking experienced HSE Advisors for WA based resource projects in late 2024/early 2025. These will be site-based roles typically on 2/1 FIFO roster, 12-month contracts predominantly with the EPCM or Owners Team.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance to appropriate legislative requirements, Company requirements and Client/Project requirements
- Coordinate, plan, implement, monitor and review protective and preventative measures
- Complete HSEC documentation to ensure compliance with specified Project and HSEC requirements
- Report and investigate all incidents with efficiency and in line with Client and Company procedures
- Coordinate, identify and facilitate personnel training required
- Conduct inspections to observe safe systems of work and address potential hazards
- Provide effective management of subcontractors to ensure compliance to Company and project HSEC requirements
- Coordinate the Project HSEC audit and assurance programs
- Promote a positive safety culture and coordinate the implementation of HSEC FOCUS initiatives
- Provide coaching and mentoring on HSEC matters to project personnel
Your Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in OHS AND Training & Assessment
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in OHS in the Construction industry
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Legislation, Standards and Codes of Practice relating to OHS; Mines Safety and Inspection; Environment and Construction
- Ability to conduct incident investigations
- Knowledge and understanding of HSEC Management Systems and Risk Management Systems
- Good interpersonal skills including excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
