The role

Reporting to the General Manager Human Resources as part of the HR team, the HR Project Manager will support in the ongoing scoping, planning, assessment, delivery and monitoring of Strategic HR projects that seek to improve the capability of the business and its employees.

The role provides project management leadership of Saab Australia’s Strategic Human Resources projects (or sub-projects) involving internal and/or external stakeholders. This includes the day-to-day management of the assigned project team.

The role is responsible for the delivery of the assigned scope, including cost, schedule, quality, customer satisfaction and any other objectives as defined in the Project Directive by the GM HR.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Definition, management, and ownership of the assigned scope of work, including schedule, cost and quality outcomes.
  • Support the planning, assessment, delivery and monitoring of Saab’s HR Strategic project initiatives as assigned
  • Development of the approach for the assigned scope to achieve project outcomes as per agreed Project Directive, including identification of opportunity in order to maximise outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with business sponsors, project lead and project teams to ensure change management is fully integrated into project plans
  • Assisting and supporting with change management plans related to the assigned Projects as required, including:
    • change impact assessment
    • stakeholder identification, analysis and management
    • assessment of organisational readiness for change
    • planning and delivery of targeted, effective change communications
    • resistance management plans
    • effective and sustainable workforce training plans
    • supporting HRBP’s and managers to embed required change across impacted audience
    • regular reporting on change management status/project risks and recommended mitigation strategies to ensure outcome realisation
  • Prepare, monitor and revise plans, estimates, cost accounts and schedules for the scope of work to meet the objectives set by the Project Directive
  • Provide day to day leadership, direction and delegation to the project team, as required.
