Hr Business Partner

 

Description:

This role will require you to work 4 days in the office with the expectation you will travel to our various sites on a weekly/monthly basis ie. Based in Ingleburn 2 days a week, Somersby 1 day a week, Crows Nest 2 days a week and a monthly visit to our Dubbo operations.

 

You will be a proven HR Professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to apply whole business thinking and be adaptable in the way you work. Experience negotiating with unions in the ER/IR space and negotiating with Trade Unions from an employer perspective is essential. The successful candidate will be a highly collaborative, self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and provide leadership and support in the functional area of human resources for the operations functions of the business including employee relations, Shift & Roster Planning, performance management, recruitment and training & development.

 

About your role - key responsibilitiesinclude:

 

  • Employee Life Cycle Management - including interviewing, induction and onboarding, performance management and any adjustments required due to internal changes
  • Employee Relations - provide guidance, coaching and advice related to Award and EBA Interpretation, leading negotiations and liaising with unions, and collaborate with the HR team to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Talent Management and Performance - champion our Learning Management System and other L&D Initiatives including identification of Workforce Planning Needs
  • Business Partnering - your key stakeholders will include Operations Leadership teams in our Ingleburn, Somersby, Crows Nest and Dubbo sites. You must be available to travel to these locations on a weekly basis with the exception of Dubbo where you will be expected to visit on a monthly basis for a set period of days. This is an on-site opportunity.

What will help you succeed

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar People & Culture role supporting operational functions. Experience in an Industrial setting is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), high-level interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
  • A strong team player, ready to be part of our pack, working collaboratively and cross-functionally.
  • Experience implementing systems &/or process changes and training.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Award and Enterprise Agreement Interpretation
  • Familiarity with HR Systems including HRM, ATS and LMS
  • Proficient with Office365 Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the field of Human Relations, Industrial Relations or similar.
