Resourceful Recruitment has partnered with a respected electricity transmission operator that is responsible for a high voltage electricity transmission network. They are the central link in the electricity supply chain, transporting high voltage electricity from the generators to the electricity distribution networks.

 

Due to the project reaching a key milestone, there is a newly created opportunity for a Senior HSE Business Partner to join the Major Projects division of the business.

 

Your Role

 

The purpose of this position is to manage and support all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment on the EnergyConnect Project. The position is responsible for ensuring full compliance with internal policies and procedures, and the relevant safety and environmental legislation. It is expected that the role will add value to the team through providing specialist advice, and coordination services on all project lifecycle matters relating to HSE.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provision of HSE advice based on statutory obligations and requirements and associated regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain and lead a fit for purpose assurance program for project activities for HSE compliance.
  • Manage standard processes for project monthly HSE reporting.
  • Be a key enabler in driving the journey towards a safety culture within the project team.
  • Support the project team and contractors with enabling safety initiatives to set the project up for success.
  • The role will also encourage and influence others to adopt practices that improve HSE performance and culture in the workplace.
  • Implement effective contractor engagement and alignment for any outsourced activities including construction using relevant company systems and tools.
  • Review contractor HSE documentation to a high level of quality in a timely manner, coaching others to achieve high quality.
  • Provide tactical support to sites to improve the robustness of compliance to regulators / councils that are consistent with the requirements from Legal, Governance & Risk.
  • Interact professionally and collaboratively with members of the public where required.
