The Opportunity

The role of the Head Teacher involves a broad range of activities including designing educational programs to support students to achieve academic success. This dedicated position will lead a team in our growing higher education course areas. Based at our St Leonards campus you will have the scope to shape the direction of the team. This role will also see you collaborate with colleagues across the state to enhance the quality of delivery materials and methods.

About You

You will have excellent skills and experience in online technologies and an interest in designing innovative educational delivery. You are an experienced leader and enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can share your knowledge and experience with the early childhood profession, community, and colleagues to ensure our delivery is relevant and responsive to needs.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:

• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or an equivalent recognised qualification, AND
• Master’s degree in early childhood or related field.
• Current (AQF) Level 5 or higher qualification in Vocational Education and Training (VET) OR hold a TAE40116 or equivalent and commit to obtaining the AQF Level 5 or Higher qualification within 18 months of employment.
• Thorough knowledge and technical expertise relevant to higher education teaching methods.
• Demonstrated educational leadership to lead and develop a team of professional staff members.
• Demonstrated sound administrative skills, and ability to plan, manage and monitor financial, human, and physical resources.
• Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with the profession and community to identify, plan and implement relevant courses and service.
