This newly created role has been identified to drive sales in line with strategic and budgeted objectives to grow Bedford’s revenue and market share for its Social Enterprises portfolio of commercial businesses. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer while also working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to align strategy and function in a transparent and collaborative way.

Key responsibilities include:

  • developing awareness in the market of Bedford’s brand promise as a unique Social Enterprise
  • developing the market for Social Enterprises
  • cross-selling and expanding services to existing customers
  • guiding development of new Social Enterprise businesses, sites, and locations
  • developing sales and marketing plans to achieve budget

Other skills and qualities include:

  • a qualification in Business, Management, or Marketing, or similar (preferred, not essential)
  • commercially- and strategically-minded
  • a proven track record of driving outstanding levels of sales growth
  • well-developed analytical skills
  • previous experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is an advantage
  • proven ability to build and develop strong networks
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
