An opportunity has become available for a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist to join the team at Northern Health as Head of Service, Hepatology.

The Head of Hepatology at Northern Health will have an exciting opportunity to build upon clinical and academic hepatology services at Northern Health, as part of a strategy to create an Australian centre of excellence in hepatology and gastroenterology. The Head of Hepatology will undertake a leadership role in the coordination of outpatient and inpatient hepatology services, coordinate a novel Liver at Home initiative, develop a hepatocellular carcinoma service, undertake research and QA activities, and supervise junior medical staff.

• Experience and good working knowledge of managing patients with complex gastroenterology and hepatology conditions
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and the personal attributes to lead change, bring people together and strive for excellence
• Research and teaching skills and a track record in the development of a hepatology research and education program
