Key Responsibilities:
- Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the business's policies and relevant laws.
- Lead, inspire, and support a large team, including the development of career plans for direct reports.
- Drive organizational goals, exceeding them through teamwork.
- Serve as a Subject-Matter Expert on warehouse processes and activities.
- Manage timely data collection to update operational metrics and ensure productivity targets are met.
- Collaborate with support teams on staffing plans and performance levels.
- Foster continuous process improvement to enhance the customer experience.
- Execute daily management duties, including staff debriefs and paperwork oversight.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and conduct security checks for all actions.
- Oversee fleet management and manage customer service escalations effectively.
- Contribute to a strong culture of health and safety practices.
- Train new drivers or team leaders to ensure task proficiency.
- Review and update SOPs and metrics, addressing process-related issues proactively.
About You:
- Ideally degree qualified in Engineering or a Supply Chain/ Logistics/ Manufacturing related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in managing operation department in Logistics industry.
- Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Access
- Good understanding of Australia geography is a must.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, WMS and SAP Implementation/ Integration and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.
